FLASH YOUR STASH

I wish I had the "before" picture of my new craft room with bags of yarn everywhere, unfinished projects under the bed, big plastic storage boxes full of mixed yarn. This project actually took a couple months. First, I had a very hard time finding a unit that would store the yarn this way. I bought this at Grandin Road. It's a perfect set up. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it to others because the quality was questionable. I had to send two units back because they were damaged. This weighed a ton and was a real hassle to get up the stairs. But, now that everything is organized, I'm pretty happy. My husband is working on refinishing a rocking chair. Once that's in, it will be complete.

Linus really likes the stash even more than I do. He especially likes to mess it up. Sometimes he actually chews on it!!!! At least I keep the less expensive yarn on the bottom!

So jealous of your craft room and the wonderful shelving!

My cats sometimes fish balls of yarn out of my project bag--they especially like angora...

The shelving unit is fantastic; looks so professional. Guess the cat didn't realize it was for yarn - he must think it is a huge cat house - bet he is feeling really lucky. Nice, very nice stash! Thanks for flashing!

WHOA! Why did you have to go and show us this!? Now, I'm going to obsess about it and order one of every size and color, then I'll have to add an addition to house the d@*n thing. *sigh* Then, I'll have to get prettier, nicer yarn to store in it to showcase, then...

Beautiful set-up! If I had such a great showcase I wouldn't put any of it in plastic bags! Thanks for coming by.

Lovely display! Must be satisfying to have it all so organized, too.

Maybe that's your cat's way of asking for a nice knitted catnip mouse or some other knitted treat just for him.

Oh, that is just the best shelving I've ever seen! And a very pretty cat, too; I'm glad he has access to the comfy yarn (except for the whole chewing thing). :)
